New decals are on the way so the finished build will be different to the box art. Here's a pic of the ones I took off yesterday. This morning they are still solid, more like armour than a decal. Now off to the airport 😎😎😎😎😎😎.

Hi Alun and thanks for tagging along. The build stage is now done along with the majority of the painting. I'm due to go on holiday now but just thought I'd put the first decal on. They are awful 😥😥😥 so thick they won't lay down and adhere to the panel lines. I've even used loads of the Walthers decal fix but even that won't touch them. So plan B for when I get back and new ones ordered.

And finished, it's 30th September 1940 and the pilot prepares to leave on another mission over the Chanel. Only this time he won't return as he will be shot down over Kent and will crash land there. Final bit of exhaust dirt added using Vallejo smoke, really pleased with the final results.

Always a pleasure to have you along John.

Robert I'm afraid this is the only one I've built. Dragon are well known for their vague instructions but this ones not been too much of a struggle.

Hi Clive,

Welcome to the group, very few bite and those that do are up to date with their jabs. Very friendly helpful group of plastic welders and figure painters.

Hi Dave, lots of the parts including wheels are not permanently fixed yet to make painting easier for me. Some prefer to attach and paint in situ but not me.

Steve many thanks. I'm really enjoying this kit or I was until I got to the tracks but I will persevere.

Andy always a pleasure to have you along. Wayne also welcome. Stephen welcome to you too, this will be a steep learning curve for me so I'll be experimenting and researching along the way.

Some progress made today, starting to look like a T34.

Paint not arrived for the Me109, too cold to finish top coating the sabre, so after painting the Sabres pilot I thought I'd preview my next project. Two first here, first dragon kit and first large scale Russian tank. This will be oob for the tank but need to find some nice figures to go with it.

Hi Jim, many thanks for that. Its only because my wife is currently working on a large dolls house that I even spotted the items. Stefan please pull up a chair, I'm sure they can get another mug out of the pot for you.

Hi Wayne,

I have to agree about the etched Zimmerit it is hard to work with and mine required several alterations to make it fir. The fun bit was replicating the damage around the drivers vision slit. I would have loved a go at applying paste but that's beyond me. Keep up the good work with this one.
