Oh so true Jon. After seeing the result of some more of his weekend postings on FB I wholeheartedly agree.

I think David Pickford has something on the forum now, SAS Pinkie IIRC.

Simon

Yeah, seen it. Hahahahaha

I see picky Pickford hasn't changed his tactic of trying to rub people up the wrong way then. I don't post here as often as I should, but that post needs a reply IMO.

David, if you can't say anything constructive or nice take your old Mum's advice and say nothing!

Steve, be proud of your work, it is indeed modelling at it's finest.

There was a video on FB recently showing a similar pen ink being blown through an airbrush. Very effective.

Thread: Time to Hand on the Reins...

Robin, I've just seen this and am very surprised. I thought you were a part of the MilMod furniture! surprise

All I can say is to echo the good wishes of everyone else and say on a personal level, thank you for all you have done for me (and others) in the past.

Good luck for whatever the future holds for you.

Well I for one will definitely buying this issue! smiley

Thread: IPMS Telford Anyone?
10/11/2016 12:50:34

Have fun chaps. I shan't make it this year I'm afraid, diary clash with my annual RTR reunion. Keep an eye on Andy for me - no doubt he'll be up to all sorts of mischief without me to keep him in check. disgust wink

Thread: Tamiya Chieftain Mk5 Drive Sprocket Mounts

The best green I've found to represent the colour of 80's/90's British green is XF65, Field Grey. Our tanks were never as green as one would think.

And use a grey/black such as NATO black rather than pure black for the camo pattern.

I thought the L section strip had to be self provided?

23/10/2016 11:00:49

Try this one Robert. It's the late Johnny Gers' build log and may have some usefull information.

I think what Robert is referring to is the fact that all of Mark's build log pictures seem to have disappeared Gary. A shame as I have this in my stash too.

Robert, I know the late Johnny Gers did this kit too so it may be worth looking for his thread instead.

Go ahead and remove the lip Gary.

a. It shouldn't be there in the first place as it's grossly over exaggerated, and

b. You won't see it anyway. wink

See you there all.

Thread: A spontaneous jolly....Bovington
13/09/2016 18:09:20

It certainly is a great place to visit. I'm lucky in that I live a short hop away from Bovington (also spent my last 10 years in the Army there but that's another story).
In fact whenever it's raining and Andy A can't work on his paving jobs we often go there for lunch. LOL

Thread: Problems with eBay/Paypal
25/08/2016 21:33:42

I had the same sort of email from ebay a few days ago Chas. Account suspended permanently, items for sale deleted etc.

Considering I had closed my ebay account some months ago I wasn't the slightest bit concerned. The only thing that annoyed me about it was that when I closed my account, ebay said it would not be possible to open another one with the same email address. Well ebay, someone certainly did!

Thread: Balsa foam at Euro Militaire

It's called Balsa Foam Tim. Just look for the dishy blonde.

Thread: British WW2 markings
15/05/2016 23:12:16

Hi Chris. You've stirred the hornet's nest there. There's much more to it than what is represented on the Armoured Acorn and I suspect you'll soon be searching for more information. wink

Once you've exhausted that resource, I can thoroughly recommend the Warpaint series of books by Dick Taylor.

Thread: Mark I Heavy Tank, Female
02/03/2016 23:15:10

Looking forward to following this one John - and thanks for the heads-up on the Mr Modellbau update set.
As a 100% confirmed Tankie nut this one is definitely on my wishlist.

Thread: On Track 2016 Who's going?
01/03/2016 23:23:40

I did Nick - but they were all of our Friday night shenanigans and not suitable for here. wink

19/02/2016 10:21:52

I'll be there for sure. Staying in the Carlton Friday night to split the driving.
Andy Argent, John Simmons, Rob Jay, Dan Brooker and Joe Wilson will all be there too.
