Evening all,

Carried on with engines, and they are now ready to mount on to fuselage:-

Did a pair of missile holders as well.

Wings are ready, tail-plane and engines on to fuselage next.

Mike and John, thanks for looking in.

Cheers

Good progress Alun. thumbs up

All of a sudden she will take shape once all those sub assemblies are drawn together.

Hi Andy,

Yes did a dry fit, quite a big beast, and the armament carried is quite surprising.

Thanks for looking in.

Cheers

Afternoon all,

Carried on, assembled the wings, engines and tail to the fuselage, also carried on with weapons and rails, so photos attached :-

Put my 1:48 Red Arrows Hawk to show the size, and an amazing amount of weapons!

The underside

Had already put nose weight in, but after a quick balancing act, decided to put a bit more in, or could be a 'tailsitter'. There is a piece in the mouldings to put in, to support the rear if required, but would rather not use.

Weapon painting next, and looking at the undercarriage.

Cheers

Hi Alun

Great progress and it looks as if the fit is not too problematic. Big ain't it. That amount of weaponry heading you way would certainly clear your sinuses face 20

Alun

This is certainly a mighty piece of equipment. I take it there were many configurations of weapons it could use. Good luck with painting them all

Hi Gents,

Pleased with progress, good fits all round, but I thought the same as you Steve, perm any 4 from 8, but I was wrong, ALL that weaponry goes on the 11 racks that are available, quite a load.

Thanks for looking in

Cheers

Alun

Aun . A beast if there ever was .

The U tube videos of it in action show just what is capable off .

There was one in Iraq hit by a ground to air missile , half of the wing was torn off , the electrics badly damaged and yet the pilot managed to fly it home , it really is a master piece of engineering. Here is the link to U tube .
