Dirk,

Face is coming along great matey thumbs up. Only advice from me Re eye`s , is get yourself set and ready to put in the dot then a deep breath and touch one in before releasing the breath, do this twice smiley. Sure you will crack it mate wink 2.

Thanks Teasung and John! Think I'll have the tranquilizers before painting the eyes than, rather than afterface 20......

Taken a bit of everyone's advice and painted the remainder of the details and the eyes. Managed to get him to look to one side as per Peter's suggestion. Still undicided on adding a bit of red to the cheeks and/or 5 'o clock shadow. Think the popeye effect is a lot less than before:

Good effort Durk.

Peter explained this to me as well, its suprising how that change can impart such a change to the face, and so much more interesting. When I did it he ended up with 2 black eyessad

Looks great Dirk - well done.

What's your verdict on the sideways glance?I do find it a lot easier. I now find it difficult to paint eyes looking straight ahead, but I force myself to do it occasionally for the sake of variety.

Peter.

Thanks for your comments and support guys, sorry for the late reply.

It's been a while but in between work and holidays I worked little by little on this figure. Getting his Sturmgewehr 44 repaired wasn't an easy job, used a Dragon front end for it and it looked allright until I snapped it again this morning when installing it on the figure. Managed to reglue and touch up without swearingdisgust. Think I'm calling it done, bar maybe a couple of very small refinements, if I can find some time this evening:

Hi Dirk

As always with your work I'm impressed. All good but the coat, front, back and sides, is sublime.
