Paint not arrived for the Me109, too cold to finish top coating the sabre, so after painting the Sabres pilot I thought I'd preview my next project. Two first here, first dragon kit and first large scale Russian tank. This will be oob for the tank but need to find some nice figures to go with it.

I'm in Mick, just been watching the Staingrad episode of The World at War. The Eastern Front is a great diverse theatre of war to model in owing to the huge terrain and weather conditions

Hi Mick

Enjoy building both the T 34/85 and the MiniArt factory, I am in the middle of building a similar ones.

The stairs/fire escape are fun to make and paint.

How will you deal with the brickwork?

Definitely one to watch

Have fun, I am

Andy always a pleasure to have you along. Wayne also welcome. Stephen welcome to you too, this will be a steep learning curve for me so I'll be experimenting and researching along the way.

Some progress made today, starting to look like a T34.

Steve many thanks. I'm really enjoying this kit or I was until I got to the tracks but I will persevere.

I haven't made a tank for some time, but was surprised to see yours apparently assembled pre-painting.

Does that make life easier or more challenging when you paint it?

Cheers.

Hi Dave, lots of the parts including wheels are not permanently fixed yet to make painting easier for me. Some prefer to attach and paint in situ but not me.
