Gentle folk and others.

Welcome to the first plane build since 1963.So expect anything, I think the last plane was an Airfix from Woolies prob a Sopwith Camel, built in under an hr painted and strung from the ceiling. Only to be knocked down by my mother who thought she was being attacked by a bat.face 1vamp

Plenty of seats, bar is been run by Mr Jones and some guy from Germany, Her Meshman AKA Allen. Please don't ask for any strange brews.beerbeercocktail

Here are some shots of the.... A bits

Just to start things off I washed the kit in some cleaner to remove any grease, bloody Nora, iv'e only gone and lost the clear cockpit screen. So the floor monster has already up'd his game with a score of 1 nill. Will now go and find some boring historic factsteeth 2

John

I have a keg in one hand and bottle of JD in the other. Hopefully you have enough drinks for everyone elselaugh.

The carpet monster has started already then. I hope the rest of the build goes better for you mate

It seems strange that you spent your 40th birthday building a plane by Airfix. Whatever nextwinklaugh

Have a lot of fun in the new workshop and I wish you all the best with the build

And he's off! Cave just finished and straight onto the starting blocks.

Thanks also for reviving those old Airfix memories. Built in an hour, decals on (unpainted in my case), and hung by cotton thread from the ceiling, there to slowly gather dust until they fell down. The trouble with model aircraft for a kid was that you couldn't really play with them until they did fall down, then at least you could take them into the garden and apply a match.....

Looking forward to following this one John.

Peter.

Airfix and Frog I remember building - all 1/72. Piercing the glue tube with a pin, applying far too much so that the finished model was totally crusty. If any paint was applied it was gloss

(Small boys in the park, jumpers for goal posts.....)
