Boss had you made the keep yourself awake helmet you may have finished something with in the time frame.teeth 2

This looks a promising start, doesn't look like it's going to escape.

Nothing ever changes and you always rise to the occasion , tri- media build and scratchery ! is what we would expect from the master builder you are .

More power to you Sir , hoping the family illness is getting better

Pete - thanks

John - definitely need the stay awake helmet face 20

Bobby - cheers

Steve - face 20

Finally managed to do a little after spending afternoon with Dad so there is actually progress

the upper hull front plate stuck up too far past the hull top so had to be scraped down

I then mated the AA tower to the Tamiya hull top and 'welded' it in place with micro strip - the vision slots in the front and rear tower faces were deepened

The area of hull roof now enclosed by the tower was then carved out

The raised turret ring was scraped off the hull roof and the hole plated over with a plastic card circle

That's all but at least it is a step in the right direction

Jim / John - cheers both

Another small update

made a plinth for the white metal vent from the AA kit to sit on and added the hatch framing from micro strip for the AA resin hatches

added first of the Tamiya engine deck covers and made new handles from aluminium armature wire

added a blanking plate over the MG position

And that's it - weekend over yet again

Thanks for looking in

Hi Simon,

Not being on here due to family and friends visiting I've missed the traumatic events. No doubt you'll make a fine job of your new expedition.

What you have achieved so far is coming along fine.

Hope your Dad's convalescence is coming along OK as well. Please give him my regards when you next visit.

See you tomorrow evening.....

Cheers Mike dogdogdogcat

Hi Simon,

Every small step is progress nonetheless and glad you have picked up and continued.

Hope family issues get better.

Hi Simon, Just had a catch up on this build, an interesting subject and looking good so far. You seem to be getting round the problems of the AA kit very well.
