Hi Everyone

John/Richard - All her jewellery chains went some time go. I am now having to buy the stuff. Very inconvenientlaugh

Jim - And they keep pinging off all over the place. Slippery little buggerslaugh

Si - A good point well made. I will certainly do that from now on. Cheers mateyesbeer

Fernando - Cheers mate. A few more to go thoughwink

I wasnt able to sleep at night knowing that the hulls still needed to be joined togetherface 20 So I have side tracked the detailing for a moment and taken on the heavy burden of putting them together.

Firstly the fenders. Just a quick snip here and there and once squared up they were glued into place with no issues.

The dry fit of the hulls however confirmed my fears of issues around the back and front. Firsty the easy bit - the back end.

All I needed to do here was take off all the rivets and move them up

img_0273.jpg

However the front was not so easy. As I thought, the front strip was too high for the top of the hull to marry up with the front of the lower hull

img_0268.jpg

So I trimmed it down as much as I dared and decided to take everything off and make the parts bigger to cover the gap

img_0269.jpg

Firstly I increased the heght of the central ribs with plasticard

I also increased the size of the scratched ribs I made and then glued the hulls together and left them to dry

img_0275.jpg

While that was happening I trimmed off the strips in the back end and added some PE Tiger fenders to the base for texture. Most of this area will be covered in stowage anyway

img_0277.jpg

Once everything was dry, I went round and filled al the holes on the underside and sanded clean all the injector marks. All in all it has turned out far better than I expected

I will now go back to sticking on rivetslaugh

Thanks for watching

Steve
