Pete,

What is the purpose of the bars on the outside of the booms?

Thank you Gregory, it will be lightly weathered because as far as I can find out during the D-day landing they didn't land any till the morning of the 7th June 44 so I can't really beat it up to much.

If anyone has deployment details of the M32 on the 6th June 44 please throw it my way.

Pete 👍

Colin

Hi Colin, the only information on the A frame boom I have is that the bars on the side struts are foot step pegs and the frame struts were increased from 4.5" diameter to 5.562" during 44/45 and could lift 30,000lb (14,000kg) stationary, 20,000 (9,0000kg) if the load had to moved/towed any distance. Sorry for the long rambling answer hope it answered you question and thank you for popping by.

Pere 👍

Hi Pete

Sorry to hear you have been in hospital and hope you are on the mend.

All looking good. Weathering is nice. I agree that weathering should reflect the theatre the vehicle is operating in and a just landed vehicle just after D-Day would certainly not be too beat up.
