PHWOAR!!!!smile p

just superb , Richard.

One question, though- did I miss something early on in the Walrus build, is there a reason why only one undercarriage wheel is down?

I have no doubt it is deliberate ,(and correct...) I just wonder why.

wonderful stuff

Neil

teeth 2 Feel like a million dollars from the kind comments...thanks guys.

John & Steve...it's alright, I've had my name spelt as Prichard on my driving license once.face 20

Kevin, thanks, glad you like it.

Fernando, not late...still working on it and very far from being a masterpiece. There are others who are more worthy for the accolade.

Neil, face 20 good question. The undercarriage wheel retracts into the lower wing and is usually lowered when wings are folded. Don't know if the mechanism activates individually or together. I would have preferred if both were up but I also wanted to show one of the wings folded. So I took the creative license to have best of both worlds.

Logically both wings would have been unfolded and service crew offloaded before the plane was retracted back on the cradle. Again I decided to have everything happen all at once.

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Bobby and Scottie, thank you for your kind comments.

I am thankful for any references given and will incorporate these in my builds when I can. Glad it's appreciated.smile

Master I am not but am picking up the morsels that fall in the wake of some great modellers and trying to make use of these skills. It's a hobby I wish I could do full time.

Cheers,

Richard

Hi,

I'm still tinkering with the deck...made these hatches and will be casting extras...

I will be switching the base when creating the mold.

The hatch above will have a locking wheel later.

cat0090.jpg

The hatch above will need turn locks for the corners and a grab handle from wire.

And now onto casting...

Cheers,

Richard

Hi John,

Thanks...as usual I go cutting and gluing without checking plans just from something I have seen before so they may not be accurate. I am only checking now before I attempt casting.crook

Cheers,

Richard
