Hi Peter, did I say brilliant yesterday? The helmet is even better than that! An absolute joy to watch your daily progress updates and discussions on colour with John B. Another couple of colours on my Vallejo shopping list.....

Looking fantastic Peter. Face and picklehaubel are both spot on! I was going to say that we've collectively run out of superlatives but I see Jim has even beaten me to that!

I thought the Roman was the best you have done but this is absolutely stunning! I take it you are enjoying this one.
Well done JR - Top man and a great choice to boot. Is this bribery to get Peter to help make all those bricks your going to need for your dio debris??
Good luck with the rest of the bust Peter

I have rarely seen a better finish with acrylic paint for flesh. Definitely keep the new palette. One of my recent discoveries may be worth a try for your metallics, particularly if you want a bright gold finish. AK True Metals are a sort of wax paint that is painted on like any other colour, but can then be buffed to a very bright metallic shine that works really well in certain situations like maybe the spike of the hat.

Wow, everyone's being so positive about this one - thanks so much everybody.
John B - I've since taken your advice and added some light washes in a couple of places to tone down the highlights. The AK paint sounds great - I'll check it out. I've also found that Vallejo metallics can be polished after a coat of beeswax furniture polish.
