Thanks Peter. .the leather is close to being done but still getting the brownish tent just right to accept the last few highlights.

STEVE the badges almost drove me crazy but I keep at it and I think they came out well (not real happy with the tigers face ,but dang it was smallll lol).

Jimbo thanks my friend a lot of light coats is the trick ALOT OF LIGHT COATS LOL.

Jon . I know it is resin but for the life of me I can't remember the maker (I will ask around).

John thank you for your nice comment . I was actually looking in my stash for something else and came across that head and I was like hmmm once I sat it on I knew I had to make it the head for the bust.

I did a WWII bomber crewmen a while back and although I really liked the turned up cap, I wish they would make a soft cap officers cap for some of those pilots I think it would add a lot to the busts. her is an example of the soft cap. Wonder what you all think about the soft cap?

So this weekend my wife surprised me with 13 boxes laugh of wood flooring crying no . So I spend all weekend laying flooring in my kitchen. I started Saturday and finished sunday around 2 pm. TOOK a nap lol then I went into my work room to paint. I didn't get much done , but worked a little on the eyes and upper face. Also added a Lieutenant bar to the Garrison cap. I think it makes the cap pop a little more. Again not much done but here are the nights progress.

Rick,

Good start on the eye`s bud thumbs up. interesting to see how you have done this . Is the flesh surround to give you an idea of how the eyes would look on the finished figure ? Or do you work and blend in small area`s as your normal way of painting ?

John

it is not normal for me to paint 1/4 of the face but I was thinking about trying it in stages to see if I can achieve the shading I am looking for I think highs on the forehead and mid's in the middle and darker around the jaw then try to blend them in ? we will see if it works or gets cleaned off and start over lol. the lieutenant bar was made with a small piece of lead foil.

Well gents

I got a lot of the face done. I think it needs a little more highlights. I have the shoulder holster and pistol done, think it turned out well. now the shirt and cap is another question I'm not real sure what I need to do but it needs something. So here is the updated photos. any comments very welcome.

Hello gents I have once again turned my attention to the jacket I have decided to work in a few more high lights to get a lot more contrast to the jacket. I will post more pictures Saturday. I am not happy with the pictures of the face but in person they look way better. I will work on it in the coming days.

well Gents. I think i'm calling this one done. I have to add the pupils dots and catch light. plus one more very thinned wash over the jacket. But that's it I hope you all enjoyed it as I did painting it.

Hi Rick

Excellent as usual.

One thing I have noticed is that you figure painters all develop a personal, recognisable style. I am not suggesting that one is better than the other it is just like a signature. You, Peter, Dirk, Jason and others all have great skills that create very individual results. I don't think the same could be said for armour modellers.

I look forward to what you do next.

Jim

Peter thank you sir I am very pleased with the outcome.

Jimbo, i have wished Peter would show me his tricks on those wonderful faces he has produced. But what you said about personal styles just may be why i like this hobby so much. the same model could be sitting side by side and never be exactly the same do to what you said about individual styles. (although i lean to  say Peter's style is amazing and worthy of emulation).. But to have someone recognize my so called style is rather flattering. thank you again for your kind words and your insight.

RICK..
