That is a cracking finish, love the weathering and detailing.

Not a thing wrong with the model, it looks the part, the paint has mellowed with the weathering and the whole model looks like it belongs in the desert, in the blue, as they used to say. Excellent, you should be proud.

As I had been waiting for different shades of RAF blue to come through the post decided to get on with the figure that I'm going to use with the Tilley.
Figure painting is not my strongest point. This is Jenifer, The WRAF Officer, the pose is that she is looking for the returning aircraft with her husband/boyfriend on board, probably the pilot.
Still have some shading to do on her legs, ie stocking colour, and tone down her shoes slightly. Plus touch up here and there when her arm carrying the folder fell off......
plus some other bits for future projects......... for the painting of the Tilley I'm going to use combinations of German Field Blue and different naval blues.........It'll work, its got to........its in colour.....

My Hurricane is progressing ( day by day progress in my blog ). I've been using Vallejo ModelAir paint - very good for airbrushing, but a little thin and opaque for hand brushing
All airbrushed, until the Dark Green - which I will need to give several coats! Coming together quickly, nearly getting to the decal stage!

Looks good, Bobby. Good luck with the rigging!
The Hurricane is coming along nicely, Dave. It's a lovely kit isn't it?
Apologies for the lack of updates on my contribution. I have been beavering away though.
With the preshading done the base colour of Middle Stone was built up in thin coats to make sure I didn't obscure the preshade
Another preshade for the next colour
Dark Earth & masks off
Azure blue on the undersides
And now we're ready for gloss coat and decals

Cheers Sean loving the Tropical / Spitfire always have admired the Malta pilots and the Sqns involved in the defense of the Island with lots of planes destroyed on the ground the life of a spitfire on Malta must have been very limiting . Your pre-shading is showing through nicely
