Hi All,
Well, with the Leopard finally out of the way, it is on with the '22. Fuselage was glued up today and the final bits for the seat harness put together. The three coloured lights under the wing are drying as we speak, so it will be punch out some glass discs for those, etch the panels for the flap indicators, in with the cockpit and join the wings to fuselage, so more picks later.
I had a read through the blog, and did not realise how far page size it had become, well done to all participants there are lots to enjoy.
Cheers, MikeC.spitupdte1.jpg

Hi All,
All items for the cockpit installed, although not a lot can be seen, but it is there. Fuselage filled ready for sanding and the wings are now joined to the fuselage, it was a struggle with the lower part of the cockpit tub which came from the Aires stable, but it went in with a few curses and help from 180 wet n dry. I have a good dollop of cyno in each wing joint and once dry will follow this with some liquid putty. But all in all, not a bad build considering the problems with the cockpit, and wings level. smile p.

Hi all

Done a little more work on my pilot bust, a little refinement of the left of her mouth and a complete reworking of her left eye.

Still not 100% happy, so I may put it aside for a week or so then come back to it. A good thing we have 4 months for this group build!

Mission complete! A long time since I’ve done 1/72 Spitfire model so this was enjoyable and a challenge being resin. Decals were also difficult. 4c349790-0f9c-4bd0-a887-d9f8ac89a25f.jpeg

Fine modelling skills chaps.. Well done everyone!

Here's an update on my RAF Rescue Launch. Turrets fixed along with the rescue dinghy.

To be honest, I've been hiding from this, because I couldn't pluck up the courage to paint the two turrets! But now they're behind me....thanks goodness!

Morning Gentlemen.

Great turn out for this build, could you remember to put some photos of your finished builds into the album on Andy's page.

Have no idea when he might return yet or will this group build ever make it into the magazine. That would be a shame if its doesn't get into print.

GC Race .

Hi All,
Since the last posting all the rubbing down has been completed, the etch has stuck to where it should, all masking done and here we are at the primer stage. No pre-shading on this job, just one primer coat sprayed over several coats top 'n bottom. This will now sit for 24 hours and then I will bite the bullet and try out the AK Extreme Metal Aluminium finish. First to go on will be a straight Alumnium and then we will go from there.
