Staring to look the part now.... the contrast of colours in the canvases will go well with the main body.

This mornings efforts.... airbrushed stars onto the Otter and decided to give it its first coat of satin varnish.

This afternoons tragedy...

As I was spraying the varnish from the Humbrol rattle can the Tamiya base decided to drop its head section onto the floor as i tipped it at a bit of an angle. shattering the Otter into a few pieces. sad

* I am going to drill a hole through the neck section of the stand and put an allen key through it to lock it onto position. Bloody thing!!!

Oh no! Bad luck...

We all live through our disasters.

All will be well. Chin up and carry on!

Thanks Tim

There was no major damage.... it just shattered along the glue lines. I have almost got it all back together without any issues. I will have to do some small respray touch ups here and there. Considering the model was still damp with varnish at the time there was no "fur ball" from its time on the floor.... so small mercies etc.

Ok.... back on track. The only cosmetic flaw is the ridge that has appeared on the front plate overnight...... it was flush when I re glued it so I assume there was a bit of stress in there that has pushed it back.
