An excellent build, I remember a few weeks back you were 'playing' with ideas for Zimmerit, and now we see the end result, and it is a credit to you and your skills, well done!

Cheers, MikeC.

Mike and John - Thank you both for your very kind comments.

I'm very pleased you like my model, particularily the zimmerit. I must confess to being pleasantly surprised with the final outcome myself. I guess I got lucky - this time!

Thanks again.

Hi Ron

Nice straight forward build. You seem to have mastered the Zim. Great Job on the paint.

Regards Lee

Don't know about the bucket on the a**e end, but one thing he did have was a spare ariel container...

Cheers Lee. Much appreciated.

Hampton Gayblade - Thanks for posting the image of Wittmann's destroyed Tank. Unfortunately it's not 007.

I tried to find out if 007 did have an aerial container, but I couldn't find any real images of the rear end. It's an easy fix if it can be shown it did carry such a thing...not that I particularily want to open up the proverbial Michael Wittmann can of worms!

I think you'll find, Mr. Bond zat Vittmann died in 007, and that is indeed a piccy of it.

Morning Ron

Last night while searching for StuG films I stumbled across " Battlefield documentaries Chanel " on U tube. Telling the story of the way it all ended for for Whittmann.

That photo in fact was in the film and showed the complete turret with 007 on the right hand side , unfortunately missing in Hamptons post .

There is a farmer in the area who found the remains of the crew along with parts of the turret. If your interested its well worth a watch .

Thanks boys.

John - Sorry good buddy, me and the bride don't watch T.V., but when reading posts like yours, I sometimes wish I had - but the wish soon fades when I see the stuff available to view on my son's T.V......!

Thanks to both of you for correcting me re. the wreck picture. Well there you go - summat new learned......yes

This morning, as a result, I set myself up and altered the rear of the tank.

I remembered some building fronts I made a while back, and couldn't resist a 'play'

Here's the result....

Right or wrong, I ain't removing the bucket!......cheeky

Cheers all.
