Does anyone know if AFV Club’s set of T48 tracks (this one:

)

has enough links for an M4A4, with its longer hull than most other Shermans? It looks like the Bronco set does, but I don’t feel like the complexity of putting those together if I don’t have to.

I’ll answer my own question, then, shall I?

I finally got the bright idea to see if I could find images of the sprues so I could count the links. (Not a safe method, given that kit parts may be longer or shorter than they should, by the way.) Instead, I found an image like this one:

That is, the back of the box. Since it says at the top that an M4A4 needs 83 links per track, I’m fairly confident that the set will contain enough to actually do that.

Jakko.

Hope your going to blog it, anything with separate track links is always interesting.

I might just do that, when I eventually get round to building the model It’s for a Sherman Crab, using the Resicast conversion set on an Asuka Sherman. But I have a Churchill AVRE to finish first, which I might just start a thread for too.
