Moderator 8064 forum posts 6868 photos 14 articles | Craig, Excellent start, and I don't see any issues with your scratchbuilding at all. What you have done is the best way to start. Simple shapes & cables/pipes. Already you've improved the kit. Andy |

570 forum posts 2 photos 1 articles | Hi Craig ..this is looking good so far ...Just thought I'd ring in and mention that most Achilles had the later type bogies with the upswept arm for the return roller ...you can easily swap these out with either a set from Tamiya's M4 or any of the Dragon kits might have the right type as spares . 612 forum posts 5 articles | Hi Craig I was going to mention the bogie thing too, but now I won't..... Tried comparing the location of the escape hatch moulded on the interior floor to the one moulded on the hull bottom? Academy blaze another one over the crossbar into the crowd David |

1176 forum posts 3 articles | Good job on the scratch-built detail, like everyone else, I agree bits like that are almost always too neat and flush on injection molded kits, and whenever you see them in real life they've invariably been 'adjusted' by someone's clumsy size nines, so any imperfections tend to add loads of character. It's the same with paint, some squaddie with a four inch brush painting tanks as punishment duty does not normally bother with carefully avoiding drips! Looks great so far. Al |

Moderator 16064 forum posts 5678 photos 11 articles | Next up i dry fitted the drivers assembly into the hull along with the fighting compartment floor. ![]() ![]() This is where the build stalls for a bit ![]() The red arrows are where the Ammo was stored but because the British never used the cardboard tubes and stored without, top and tailed fashion. I need to do some more scratch work so until my Ammo + other bits for this build turns up which will be Pay-day now. I will be holding on for a week or so. Oh does any body know which of these i should be using?? ![]() Many thanks guys. Craig |
