This is planned to be one of a number of introductions to some small scale models of a range of different Landing Craft, along with some additional background information on each one. Hope you find it helpful.

Another delightful little model from Milicast. This model is correct for anyone wishing to model early Commando raids such as the Lofoten Islands.
I notice you refer to small scale models of Landing Craft. Have you seen the two Landing Craft (Infantry) which are available from Milicast? One is British and the other is American. They're both over 650mm in length! I've seen them made up at various shows and they're superb!

Moderator 9001 forum posts 28973 photos 2575 articles | Hi Chas,
Yes, I built one which featured in Mil Mod a couple of years ago. I plan to add that feature from the mag to the site as part of this, in the not too distant future (even if only to show I do build things to a finish occasionally!
).It's a very nice model, and they also do some neat figures to go with it.
Another I have to get back to, and may (can I just stress the word may) do as a blog if I can find the time, which is the Accurate Armour LCT IV, which incidently was also mastered by Danny Taylor.
Cheers

I'm trying to recall the article relating to the LC(I). No doubt if I were to see the front of the magazine, I'd recognise it!
As fort he LCT4. I've just had a look at tha Accurate Armour web-site. It's a nice little model measuring 1600mm (62 inches) in length and 335mm (13.25 inches) in width! I notice it is made to order only! That would be something to see in a diorama, especially unloading its' cargo of tanks etc.
I wish you well with the build!
