My first diorama is nearly finished, just a few touch ups needed.
The frame, base, and buildings are all scratch built, I started this dio at the end of last year and have enjoyed every last minute of the construction, hope you all like it.

The whole build log is on Trackpads website , but I will take and post some more photos soon.
Cheers Joolz.

Joolz,

Very nice first Diorama indeed. In all my time back in the hobby, I have yet to take the plunge and build one. I'd like to see more pictures too.

An increadibly ambitious work for for a 1st Dio!
Congradulations on it's completion
How long did it take (common question)
Highly unusual to see this great expanse of ruins covered in snow--to me that's the "wow" factor of "Payback" --also the structures are without doubt the stars-
Do you have some WIP photos of the making of the buildings?
How about photos showing  the Tiger & figures?

Welcome & thanks for posting,

Adam

Thanks for the positive comments chaps
Adam- I'm not sure how long it took in hours, but I started the dio before Christmas last year .
This is the first sketch of the image I had in my head .

And trying to work out some of the detail.

I only wanted to use the things that I had so the base had to be built around a scrap piece of board I had. The building were made from extruded polystyrene .

I cut into the surface and removed foam with files and craft knives, I then cut into the surface to recreate bricks.

Plus a couple more of the finished dio.

Joolz.
PS one of the figures, this was also a first for me, painting figures.
