thx Craig!

I bought me some time ago the snow from Joefix Studios...it's quite a big bag and according to a modeller's magazine you could use it a lifetime...We'll see how it works out since I never did a dio before

thx Chris

...yeah it does... so I hope I can make something of it...I wanted to start a dio some time ago with my KT first, and than with my Elefant...but they'll have to wait since I feel that this is going to be the one...well, I hope

cheers

Looks like it's gonna be a neat dio, Wouter.   Wintery scenes help me deal w/ summer humidity easier.

thx John! Yeah, I know the feeling, allthough the sun started shining again today. They predict a nice 28°C

Before I started I gave the Tiggy a bath with soap...and after a day and nigth of drying I say some parts came loose!!!. So I had to glue them in place again...

Then, I started today with some spraying works on da Tiger: first a coat of Grey Primer of Vallejo Model Air. I diluted the paint with V's AB cleaner and it worked out well

Next stage, the preshade colour, well, not a preshade like I usually do...Flat Earth mixed with Black Semi Gloss...courtesy of Tamiya. It's my first experience with Tamiya paints and I must say: in combo with the lacquer thinner it sprays very smooth....much better than the Vallejo...one minus though: it stinks as hell!!!!! I don't believe their acrilycs are real acrilyc paints, much to chemical if you ask me

I really like their paints. I'm quite satisfied with the result. But I think I have to do another round of Flat Earth/Black and then we're of to the Grey

And also these babies arrived today:

they will make life much easier for painting the wheels

cheers

Looking good so far mate, I bet you're glad to start getting some paint on your recent builds, eh?

Thx mate!

yes I am in fact . Especially now I have the Tamiya ones....they don't dry at the nozzle as fast as the Vallejo ones. I really could spray and spray and spray...It just kept coming without troubles...

And the queue went in an orderly fashion....the Elefant understood that uncle Tiger had priority now . Grandpa Königstiger was allready done so he made no fuss about it too

It made me very happy...well, I was allready happy but now I'm thrilled

cheers

Looking good Wouter! I agree Tamiya acrilyics don't really seem to be what they are but they work great for me.
