Yes, it was a great show - as expected! I bumped into many of our regulars too, and spent rather more than I had bargained for on kits and books (OK, who doesn't, when at a show?). My kind daughter had done the driving to spare my knee from strain, and acted as a gofer to save me carrying stuff all the time. A lot of it got parked at the make & take with our grandson, who had a tremendous amount of fun and brought three built models home to paint later - so many thanks to the hardworking kind folk who looked after him!

Cheers

John

Just got home and boy am I shattered!face 24

But had a really great time. It was great to see Chris, Tim, Garry, Bodge, Dicky, Ken, John, Craig Tim and so many more mogelling friends before I depart these shores and I had a blast chatting with them and customers at the stand.teeth 2

The clubs put on some really great displays and the competition was outstandingstar

Purchases were light for me as I won't be able to take much with me, but I did manage to pick up a couple of books from Aviation Book Store: 1940 Le Soldat Francais (1) and La 1re DLM au Combat, to feed my interest in all things French 1940

What and excellent show that was!

I was with Bodge, Chris B and Dicky F on the MSCF stand right in the entrance foyer where everyone coming and going couldn't help but spot us. They put up a great display with Andy's dios, rusty cars and Dicky's scratch builds - even Chris had managed to finish a few kits to display.
I produced the grand sum of two - the Sherman DD and a DUKW. If I'd known how big the stand was going to be (three x 6' tables plus Chris's shelves) I'd have taken more. blush

Great to meet so many "faces" from here - some old, some new. Tim, Craig and Keith, Robin, Nige, Chris and Bro, Andy, Mike, Richard, Eth, Sean B and probably some I've forgotten (sorry). I was urprised how many of you looked at my "stash" and said something like "Ah, but Ken - 3RTR didn't use those you know..." you rotten lot. cheeky

As for pics, I only took a couple of the stand but I know Robin was there with the ever-present camera and shooting jacket so hopefully he'll post some up - and I've got a feeling we'll be seeing something from Andy (Bodge) Argent at some stage. (BTW, Andy and DickyF both got "gonged" in the comp).

Lastly, for those who didn't stay overnight at the Carlton - you missed out on a darn good evenings entertainment. Mac, you would have been proud of us...
