802 forum posts 249 photos | I like the Swordfish and could be tempted to do one of these, although the rigging part scares the pants off me as without it the model isn`t complete and i would probably ruin a good model trying to add it. Pity there is no decals to depict a Swordfish from the Ark Royal during the sinking of the Bismark. Malcolm |

| 2428 forum posts | This is a lot better than the original Airfix model. The only other Swordfishes in 1/72 were the Frog and Matchbox models. Of the two, the Frog was the better as it had folded wings and optional float undercarriage. I believe Airfix may be releasing anoher version with floats later on.

891 forum posts 1849 photos | I echo Chas as this is loads better than the original kit. There's an interior and cage for the crew plus clear sprue which was non existant in the older kit. Loads of more parts and detailed wing.
The older kit wings were like two sausages...thick fat wings. The new ones I hope are much thinner in profile. Now I'll have to get one in 1/72 as I already have the Tamiya 48th scaled kit.
