Made in Canada in great numbers and in great variety of variants, The CMP, or (Canadian Military Pattern) Truck was an important vehicle of many Commonwealth countries' militaries, and was in use the world over even prior to WWII. As production continued and developed, for both the Ford and nearly identical looking Chevrolet , many refinements and many body styles came into use.

This 1st kit from LZ Models of this iconic lorrie is a basic, topless 4x2 model, complete with the 239cu V8 engine, and will build into a captured Italian guntruck fitted with the 20mm Breda Anti-Aircraft Cannon (which is in the last phases of kit development and soon to ship from LZ]
Some of have watched as Libor has developed this new kit on his Kit Production Blog, and I am very happy to get to the first to dig into the 1st pop of the producion kit--[Thank you Libor!teeth 2]

The kit arrives in a strong little flap-top box with this image of Libor's prototype

As usual from LZ Models, everything in the box looks really great !

3 full bags of resin parts, 2 PE sheets, the needed wire/styrene and instructions on CD which I'd say are some of the most thorough I've ever seen provided [Im sure I'll have some questions anyways]

The Instructions are also available on the LZ Models site as a PDF.

I think I recall Libor saying this would be the start of an "Easy-Line" of simpler to build kits from him[but it looks like there may be a fair number of tiny parts still ]dont know

!

Decals are provided for captured German & Italian vehicles, as well as some generic Commonwealth numerals

Lots to do & see on this build I think, but I'll try to bring it all together rapidly this timewink 2-

-I'm very happy to be able to bring you this terrific looking kit in blog-form and hope you'll join along and add your comments,

Hi Adam

I saw Libor developing this and wondered whether it would provide another Libor/Kuller blog. I always enjoy, and learn from, your blogs so I'm definitely in for this one.
