Pete~Ha! yeah...I know it's an unusual construction for a kit----I saw the prototype on Libor's bench so I knew that was coming ----look at his kit-in-process threads sometime you will see him making up Masters the same way sometimes

Zerk~Thanks my friend---much appreciated

A really brief, quick, short, mid-week sort of update:

I mounted the gun in it's cradle, which is a very tight fit. thumbs upThere are two tabs that pop into the PE to allow elevation movement [provided you are super careful with adding the hardware] The next parts are [really small!!!]emotionfor securing the tabs and are simple rings of bass [2x#11]
There is also part #12 which is totally decorative.
After this I made and attempt to place the sighting rails and bent them [again!] and then tore apart the solder joints.dont know....ok, so have to repair that and get back to attaching the rest
See you guys soon!

Jim~Thanks mate, i'm sure I'll get it all.

For now I set aside doing the sight rails to complete the rest, mainly the base and mount.
I wanted to be able spin the mount to be able to adjust azimuth, so I installed a large brass pin, right through the base, so I can mount securely in the truckbed as well

not cemented together, but firmly held by the pin,and turnable

I attached the gun to the mount, and mount to spindle using Loctite Gel C/A, and later I added some weld beads I felt the mount should have using some very fine [.010] Slaters styrene rod, some TETC and a blade to texture. I didn't want the heaviest of welds but I felt there should be some detail at the joins.

So, nevermind the bottlecap,

here's the whole Breda, short of the AA sight and it's linkage

I also made up some more ammo boxes, as I wanted at least 6. The gun-only kit comes with 3 ammo boxes [the F15 w/ Breda set includes 9] These were not hard to scratch and I made them from some scraps of strip I had,[ hence the gaps and filler]. I have the PE parts for all of these, even the xtras as they we're included with the F15 kit-thumbs up--so these should get more impressive after adding hinges & hasps

Hey guys, thanks for sticking with me, I know it's been a while in the making!Back to you soon with this piece ready for some paint..ya..ya beersmile

Hi Adam

Coming along nicely. It almost looks too graceful to be gun.

Breda final construction~

I finally got the 2 spikey rail-arcs on there, good enough.   Boy... did I monkey around with those over and over!--I still monkey'd with 'em after the 1st shots here, as getting them both bent the same and matched even was murder.I just didnt get on with them from the start, but I can't blame the kit---it's just a challenge of the original design made to 1/35--the narrow parts in the thick brass are difficult to manage, but what would work better?....After. bending them up, even a drop to the floor... didnt help matters....
In the end I just cemented each side in seperately one at a time, and though it was fiddly, I think I got something I like finally.

Once I was done there was just one more sub-assembly, the linkage that hold the optical AA sight, and this goes together with some tiny snips of wire [included in the kit] and the smallest PE retaining rings ever----but this was all breezy stuffface 1

I glued the pin to one length, placed the connecting part over the pin and carefully glued the retainer on, allowing the linkage to be workable, at least until fixed to the mount in situ.

...and that is about it!
