Moderator 8046 forum posts 6827 photos 12 articles | Greetings alll, Thanks for that VI, I'm pushing on quickly with this one as I don't want it to sit in the WiP pile.
Thanks Adam, the less said about stashes the better I think, There are some sins that should never be confessed to... Hi Simon, welcome aboard. Still plenty of room at the front so hope you enjoy the end of the show. Thanks Craig, It seems to happen to me with nearly every build too. I suppose we all have in our minds eye exactly how we want them to look and sometimes that can be a difficult thing to envisage the endgame when the paint is fresh and clean.
Thanks Chris, next stage approaching. I've always wanted to have a go at some 1/16th scale stuff or even better 1/6th but space is the limiting factor and would be grounds for marital strife... Cheers for that Carl, It always seem to be that the painting stages are where I slow up and then if I'm not happy with how they are going it takes a lot of discipline to stick with it through to the finish. As to the paint... with no Dunkelgelb left in my paint store and not wanting to slow up waiting to get to a supplier. I've finished off my last can of Halfords "Rover Rattan Beige". This colour has worked well for me in the past and once the filters & washes go over the top, it works a treat. The masking was my usual blu-tac and masking tape, (shown here on a previous Panther). Thanks Robert, hope you like the new update which follows now. So the next phase before starting on those washes & filters is a bit of dirt. The large area under the hull exposed above the tracks cries out for some muddification so I've gone back to one of my preferred mud formulas; Tile grout PVA, a small amount of garden dirt and paint. Once mixed this was stippled on to cover all the lower surfaces. Giving a very pleasing effect to use as a base for the washes etc. I'm hoping to get to the bench later this afternoon to get a bit more done.

Whilst moving some stuff around this morning I had to move the box of that recent aquisition I told you about
