Hi guys i am pleased to announce a new blog that is starting right now
The is of course the new Bronco Sd.Kfz 6/1 Mittlerer Zugkraftwagon 5t Artillery version and boy what a kit, i am not to sure of the part count but lets just say its a lot the box is stuffed full of sprues As i understand it most if not all of the mistakes from previous releases have been addressed as as well as the 18-page instruction sheet there is a four page/sided correction sheet added. Lastly if you want to have a look at whats in the kit before the of then Robins sprue shots can be found Here
Right starting with the Chassis i have added the suspension system a little fiddly to start with is this a sign of things to come? Next up was the construction of the transmission and engine etc.
I have to say the engine is a very nice little kit in its self (20 parts) and if the modeler wanted to could really go to town in super detailing it, but alas i will be hiding it forever so i am not going to do that and all the parts dry fitted.
That's it for now but with the the wettest drought in living history i may get some time in today Comments welcome. Craig

Yes i know Keith i just cant help myself whilst others are in line for painting etc i just have to build something Hi John good to have you along, i think they are right mate they are just dry fitted at the moment but they are roughly were the instructions call for them to go. My refs are a little sketchy on this one so any help is greatly received. I have discovered that the two compressed air tanks are missing from the kit but will not be seen anyway so i can live with that.

1963 forum posts 413 photos 1 articles | Craig, I think the space between the fuel tanks is supposed to have parallel sides not to have them angled inwards. It's a while since I had to abandon my Diana blog (I do hope to find time to finish it) but I'll try to dig out my references before you need to cement the tanks down. Cheers John |
