Hi guys.

I'm in the process of tiding up all those kits we start that get bogged down.

So here is my Sd.kfz. 234/2 Puma a/c 116th Pz Div Sourdeval 7th August 1944.

I keep 'em small at the moment as to not get bogged down again.

Italeri Puma with extra detail. i.e. Smoke dischargers made from aluminum sheet  rolled into ickle tubes. Rebuilt turret periscopes. Exhaust modified and scratched spare wheel mounting.

Awaiting stowage etc. Vehicle built with flat tyre.

Mini-dio base WIP (did that this a.m.) Yet to do all additional grasses foliage

and trees 'n' bushes. Figures will be from a Presier tank crew set working to

change wheel.

I have to thank this and other sites for re-inspiring my modelling juices

again and most importantly keeping the momentum of my builds.

Feedback always welcome

TIA Nick

Cheers Craig

I used to think i had to build big. . .but i have just as much fun doing them small concertrating on the one 'story' in miniature. Plus the build turnaround is more productive & satisfying.

Thanks again

Nick

Hi Jaymes thanks for Looking in

Its a bit of therapy at the moment for me as i've had to reign in my imagination lol. Am doing these little ones to retune and practice before going into bigger builds that i've got planned. I dont want to loose momentum half way through my 35th Tiger 1 Late or Sd.kfz. 251D/7. If you can do it in ickle scales the larger ones become a pleasure if you see what i mean.

I work in most scales 1/100 1/72 1/48 & 1/35.

Although my 35th kits are awaiting me to finish up the previous works. I love dios and i use personnel accounts and anicdotes for ideas + stories to portay. I found the BBC Peoples War Archive a goldmine of ideas of things that really happened to the men and women at the time.

Have to work today so no progress 'til i'm home

Will keep the momentum

Nick

Hi guys

After the nightmare i created last eve am back on track.

Am going to try this method which is new to me tho i have seen it done before.

Florests wire (?) Pliers etc.

I cut 12 20cm lengths and set to it. Quite fiddly but. . . i ended up with this. I added extra lengths to bulk out some of the limbs and bent them to an approximate shape. I intend later to do the trunk and limbs with a milliput bark covering. Foliage will be of teased out wire wool.

Heres what i've got

I cut a mask out of paper so i dont damage or mark the base. The tree will get a final positioning before the milli'

So am on the way again. Hope you like. Feedback and questions welcome - always.embarrassed

Nick
