Hi all

Now I have been a naughty chap; but i thought i would treat myself to this.
I have decided to start my first blog on me tackling my very first bust.

It is made by Young
The packaging is tip top; and on first impressions the resin is the best I''ve seen.
Crisp detail; no mars or bubbles and generaly a high quality to all components.

This is just a quick picture to show you what you get when you open it, to start the blog wheel a rolling.
Better pictures will come.

Foam keeps the components safe and sound so no warpage !

I have ideas on leaving the helmet off and doing something with the green stuff and making it a project of some time as well...
The baby is on its way so i need something i can get my teeth into for when I''ve got spare time.(if any)

So main ideas are

1)build up hair on scalp with green stuff/duro
adding the ringlets that Spartan would have worn in his long hair.
He looks a young chap so beard may not go.

2) consider shield pattern and produce something interesting.
As i think by a quick glance at resources the up turned v for Lamtha (larceondion/Sparta)
Didn''t feature till after.
But we will see...

So come join me for what looks like to be quite a project.

Humble apologies of it looks like i havent posted for a while on this, but i guess you chaps will understand

i would say welcome aboard but that is for another build Haha

the cost was pricey so having a real good look and plan.

I want the best possible result i can get and not to go over board

so will have to use the K.I.S.S method me thinks

Hello Dem,

Loved the movie "300". Should be a challenge, but fun to do.

"tackling your first bust, and getting your teeth into it".....hhhhmmmm, sounds like something a new born baby might be thinking wink 2......Coincidence?....I think not.

Good luck with both.thumbs up

Cheers!

Hiya chaps
thankyou for your support!

Now hopefully i will get a bit of time to start tonight.

Im going to prepare the head first, carefully removing the molding tab with a bit of warm water.

Then will have a look at how i can sculpt that hair back.
