Hi all, as most of you know I am using PE for the first time on the T 34 build and its getting worsesad.

I have tried to fit the engine grills and have cut away too much from the kit part although the instructions are not very clear. See for yourself its terriblecrying 2

t 34 7 (medium).jpg

I am using a toothpick but as you can see there's far too much CA, it looks abysmal.

Does anyone know where i can get another grill or what else i can docrying 2

Perhaps using PE is a step too far at the moment and the mood i am in at present could result in the build being canned for a long timesmile o

Would greatly appreciate any help or advicesmile

I am so annoyed with this and I am having a nice cup of tea and trying to calm down

regards bob

Alls not lost mate, i would try and carefully remove the etch part you have on there slide a knife underneath and you may be lucky. The it just a case of squaring up the sides with some plasticard strip a little filler and sanding and you should be able to build the sides up. if not i may have a spare knocking about somewhere but you would still need to build the edges up some how.

yup, I agree with Craig. Don't give up mate, you'll getting there. Such stuff ain't easy and practise is the key, won't work 100% always, but you get there.wink 2

Also, try to get very very tiny dots of CA on the toothpick, and dip them on another piece of paper or cardboard to remove excess before adding the ca to the part. Hope it makes a bit sense, works for me!

Cheers

I didn't mean per say that you had to practice on something else first smile p...really depends on what risks you are willing to take...I took the risks and never practiced seperately face 20. Overconfident maybe ain't good, but confidence is something which you sure need, and I have confidence in you my young Sith Apprentice wink 2

Cheers

hi Bob

If the PE part is really stuck and you are concerned about damaging it try CA Debonder. If Craig and Wouter and Tim say don't despair I bet its 'cause they've been there and done that! face 20

well haven't used CA debonder yet, but heard it's great...What also helps is Oven Cleaner...ruined my Afrika Tiger, but sire did debond the CA teeth 2

about the dispear: indeed - again...think about my deceased kitty...very demoralizing at the time, but in the end: lesson learned sad...So keep goin' partner!

Best of luckthumbs up. Jim, no, haven't been there nor, indeed, done it. Yetface 20. There are two Lightnings in the stash with etch, and I'm guessing the learning curve is going to be steepface 4.
