Evening all, and greetings,

Just started modeling again after prob 35 yrs, how things have changed , bought this months mag for a look to see what was out there to start again after doing many an airfix/tamiya kit, got quite a shock...etched brass , washes , no idea what it meant , so am really starting again.

Bought a 1/35 tamiya hanomag sdkfz251/1, seemed a good place to start.....opened the box and found I have gone blind with age , the parts looked a lot bigger all them years ago....also got shakey hands as well now for gluing...lol....anyway like a challenge going to try weathering ,washing the full hit as I have a airbrush to play with,... badger 200......will post a few pics as I progress....cya all soon ...cheers...steve

Welcome back to the hobby, likewise I am a recent returnee.

And if you think the kit parts are small, wait until you start with photo etch, nothing has made me more glad that I have a vinyl floor under my desk.

Steven

A very warm welcome to MilMod, I hope you enjoy being with usthumbs up. You're far from alone coming back to the hobby, many of us have. You're far from alone in finding the changes a little bewilderingdisgust. And you're far from alone with the sight and shakey handsface 20. For the sight, you can great positionable lenses now, or lenses you can wear on your head, for the hands I would prescribe cocktailnerd.

Hope you have a lot of fun.

Cheers
