I have always liked Italeri and their 1/35 kits. They may be simpler than some others, but offer good value for money and can include some great features. This one has link and length track, a zimmerit finish on the hull sides plus interior detailing and ammo rounds (with stencilling included on the transfers) for the huge 38cm morser it carried.

Actually Robin, I am becoming a fan of Italeri, with the Pig almost done bar the PE and the Autoblinda on its way, the kits themselves have been more or less a stroll in the park, but the door has been open to do other stuff with the structure and raise the bar a bit; i.e. one can do modelling with the basic kit. I imagine the same can be said for this one.. |

Well I've got the Tamiya and the AFV Club Sturmtigers in the stash so it will be interesting to see how this one stacks up in comparison Richard. |

1283 forum posts 707 photos | I recently finished the original release of this one, as a friend donated a part-built one from his 20yr old stash: It was a very nice kit to finish off, and my first go with link'n length tracks. The interior's a bit sparse, but gives you enough to look at through the hatches, the mortar breech is quite nice though! I used this one mainly as an airbrush camo exercise, and I think it came out ok... |
