1080 forum posts 431 photos | Hi all. As some of you may know the family and i went up on Thursday to the Raf Museum and while we were talking a walk up to Hannants afterwards i noticed this vehicle covered up by a tarpaulin in the museum car park so i took a picture. I wasn't sure what it is but i am guessing by the shape that it may be some sort of CMP truck. Regards Ian |

You're obviously a bit of a whizz with these wheelie beasts so maybe you can answer me this... |

789 forum posts 236 photos | Ken, Pictures of these in British service are like rocking horse poop, a bit thin on the ground. Plenty of them in Canadian , Dutch and Malayan police in the 50`s.
The Royal Navy had some, used by 30th Naval Assault Unit charged with recovering German Naval technology.
GHQ Liaison Regt, or Phantom used them, (that`s how i`d like to do one), probably the Wireless version which was probably used by the Royal Signals units.
As it was an APC it is possible that some Infantry Regts used them too but like i said finding picture proof isn`t easy.
A lot are believed to have stayed in the recieving Depots which is likely where some of the French, Dutch and Malayan examples came from.
Hope that helps as i can`t find 100% proof of these comments.
