Ghurka Stage Display

There will be a Special Issue of the magazine due out in due course, but here are some initial photos of just a few of the models which attracted my attention at this years show.  Going just by my personal impression, there was a great return to the number of figure models entered into the competitions this year, while still having plenty of armour models as well.  Some nice small scale models included as well (I always wish we'd see more of those, but maybe I'm biased!).  The overall standard this year I thought was stunning, and if you were unable to join us, I can only say you missed a treat.

Great to see the Ghurkas present at the show, and involved with the prize giving, a well deserved honour.

I'd like to give my personal congratulations to all of the judges involved with the show again this year.  There is a lot of effort goes in to getting this done as best as can be done, as befits such a prestigious show as Euro.  No matter though, those looking on and those who maybe don't win will always have other views on what deserved what.  I was a judge on a number of years in the early days of the show and know how difficult it is.  Having seen the figures this year I wouldn't have known how to cope to well done to you all.

Finally of course, you will see I have no names or classes against these model photos.  Simply no time to assemble that information for this first glance.  For all those of you who entered, well done and thank you for coming, and contributing to such a great display of about the finist modelling you will find anywhere.  Watch out for the full coverage in our special issue.

Finally, a photo of the 'Best of Show' -
