Resicast 1/35 Terrapin Mk 1

Well, maybe just to show I can finish something occasionally, here is the end result of my build of the Resicast Terrapin.  It is a build straight out of the box, a reisn model plus some etch brass detailing.  I added the control cables on the steering and 3 boxes of C-Rations that the crew have 'acquired', the laser cut wooden boxes are from Ernst Peddinghaus.  The stowage of jerricans comes with it if you buy your Terrapin direct from Resicast, as an 'extra'.

Weathering is a mix of DOA pastels plus Mud-in-a-Pot which I tried out for the first time.  As a machine that went in and out of rivers, I decided to give it a go at being 'muddy'.  Markings are for 79th Armoured Division and you can see the headlight and taillight lenses that Resicast supply within the kit.  Overall I enjoyed the build and the end result.  I am happy with the effect of the mud too.  I believe there is a real one in the Wheatcroft collection but haven't seen it for myself.

Hope you like it.
