Box art for bronco 1/350 USS Independence
 
A forthcoming release from Bronco features this futuristic looking US Navy warship, the USS Independence.  Going by the poster you see below, there is etched brass and lots of interesting detail in their new model of this modern warhsip, built with low observable, or 'stealth', technology.  This is all we know about the kit so far, but it looks like it will be a real eye-catcher.
 
LCS stand for 'Littoral Combat Ship', designed for close to shore operations and is a triple hulled vessel, or trimaran, and was only commisioned into the US Navy in January 2010.  So a model of a warship that really is bang up to date.  Interesting concept.  It is also the 6th ship in the history of the US Navy to bear the name 'Independence'.
