Interesting to see now that Italeri have upgraded the moulds on their 1/24 Opel Blitz truck and re-released it. I have to say that as I didn't see it first time round, I am not sure what level of 'upgrading' has happened, but the kit looks to be very nice. Plenty of detail in the chassis, including the engine, and then in the cab and body as well. The parts come moulded in grey and black plastic, with the tyres being hard black plastic halves as well.
With a few other 1/34 models now available, such as the Pz II and a BMW m/c combination available from Tasca, this has some others that can go with it, but a much bigger model to find a home for.
As for colours and marking options, there are four. One is that illustrated in the box art, for a Wehrmacht truck of an unknown unit, a plain sand colour one from 21st Panzer Div, an all Panzer Grey example from the 110th Infantry Div, while the fourth is for an unknown Luftwaffe truck, and has the most surprising camouflage pattern, one I have never seen used before, but somehting quite different to paint. Have a look in the album below.
Thanks to The Hobby Company, who are the UK importers for the Italeri range for our example.
