...a Zwischen Losung from the blog by Bill Hazard
Now for the second in some photo features that have all evolved from the one blog, and a series of models all completed by member Bill Hazard. This time an early Jadgpanzer IV, using the Shanghai Dragon kit release of the Jagdpanzer IV L/70 (A) Zwischen Losung. Not quite that simple of course as Bill has added a whole load of upgraded detail to it, and here is the list of all the additional detailing sets he used with it.
- Aber 35081 Jagdpanzer IV L/70(A) Zwischen Losung
- Aber 35A81 Fenders for Panzer IV (NEW TYPE)
- Aber 35A66 Side Mesh Screens for Panzer IV J, StuG IV-late, Jagdpanzer IV(A)
- Tristar 014 German Panzer IV Wheel Set
- Voyager ME-A057 Cleaning Rod for Panzer IV late
- Eduard 34023 Jagdpanzer IV L/70 turned aluminium barrel
- Dragon Magic Tracks
I for one am amazed by Bill's skill and patience at using the tiniest of etch brass detailing parts. Have a look through the album below as in the close-ups you can see the real benefit of the improved detail of the tool clamps and suchlike, just to give one example. It goes to show how far you can go to improve thee detail on a plastic kit.
My thanks to Bill not only for completing such a fine blog, but also for sending through this set of pictures for the finished model, the second one to emerge from the blog. For those who want to refresh their memories, or if you missed it first time around, there is a link to the blog below, where Bill details how he went about each build.
