Euro Militaire in the Leas Cliff Hall

Euro Militaire for 2012 takes place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September at The Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone.

The show is open from 10.00am until 6.00pm on the Saturday (early bird visitors can get in from 9.30am) and from 10.00am until 4.00pm on the Sunday. Tickets will be available on the door for both days.

Whether you are new to military modelling, or are an established authority with a love and fascination for military modelling, you will not want to miss Euro Militaire celebrating its 27th year in 2012.
The world's finest practitioners will display and compete against fellow modellers in all categories and levels of craft all battling for the most coveted prize of them all “The Euro Militaire 2012 Best in Show.”
There will be demonstrations, competitions and over 60 trade stands featuring some of the finest modelling to be found from modellers and traders from all around the world.

The Organisers are pleased to welcome Amerang, Airfix, Hobby Link Japan and MIG Productions as show supporters this year. They have kindly donated prizes for those entering the juniors section of the competition this year.

For more details including all the details of competition classes, rules and criteria, how to get there, the floor layout and where to find particular traders, see www.euromilitaire.co.uk or come along on the day to see what it is all about!

The show will be run by the usual team with David Holden of MyHobbyStore, Geoff Illsley as Chief Judge, Ken Jones in charge of the Competition Room, and John Clifton as Chief Steward, along with Richard Windrow overseeing the outside events and his usual position of Show Announcer, and David Irving-James who is the liaison with the army and his usual trouble-shooting roving brief. Setting up at the show for traders is from midday on Friday 21st September. (For any trader who experiences difficulties getting there on Friday the doors will be open at 8.00am on the Saturday to allow for any late set-ups, but please be aware this is an 'as necessary' arrangement, not for general use, as the stands need to be set-up and ready for when advance ticket holders come in at 9.30am on the Saturday and general admission at 10.00am.)

Once again, modellers from around the world will be vying for the ultimate accolade, the Euro Militaire ‘Best of Show’ award and the competition room, which for the show’s 25th Anniversary in 2010 had over 1,000 entries on display, will once again feature a stunning array of models from among the world’s foremost proponents of the art and ranging across the whole field of military modelling. The main hall will, as usual, be the scene of a wide variety of stands from all the leading traders, offering the public all they need in the way of kits, tools, books and accessories.
