...figure number 10 from Tommy's War
.jpg)
As usual, Tommy's War release their new figures in pairs, and number 10 in the series is their second Naval figure, in this case a Rating of the Royal Naval Division. The seaman is shown in a land based role in 1914. The sailors that landed at Antwerp were poorly equipped, and records report school outfitters being asked for stachels and other items before they embarked. The figure is armed with the Long Lee enfield, a weapon thought of as outdated by the Army in 1914.
Very cleanly cast in resin, this is easy enough to put together and the detail of the figure and his equipment is first class. It continues the really excellent standards that this range has set, and you can see what can be done with it as thanks to Darren, we have some extra photos of the expertly painted figure that has been used for the box art illustration.
