Revell 1/72 Warrior - box art

Not new as such, but I for one am pleased to see Revell re-releasing some of the small scale models they had removed from their catalogue for a few years.  In this case it is the British Army Warrior in the basic MCV (Mechanised Combat Vehicle) format.  They also did a second version with the extra armour panels seen in combat zones such as during the Gulf War and in Bosnia.  The base kit is neatly done, straightforward to build as well.  Like all the Revell small scale armour models, the track is solid moulded plastic, being made up of individual links and lengths of track to fit around the running gear.  I have always found the fit to be good, and that includes for the Warrior.  Two markings options provided for, both in the Green/Black European colour schemes.

For those who want to do other variations, such as the command or artillery spotting version,s there are a couple of good resin/metal conversion sets designed to go with this kit from the old CMSC range, that is now with Kingfisher Miniatures.  Nice to see it readily available in the shops again.

Our thanks to Revell here in the UK for our example.
