Sean's King Tiger
 
After his previous build, a Firefly which also ended up here in a photo feature, member Sean Emmott chose to have a go an a slightly older kit, almost straight from the box.  His blog covered the building of this, one of Dragon's older kits, the SdKfz 182 King Tiger with a Henschel turret, and no zimmeritt.
 
It was built from the box except fo the addition of Aber etch brass parts to replace the moulded mudguards, and which enabled the crumpled/damaged look that Sean managed to 'hammer' into place.  Add little details like the cabling for the headlight, and it shows what can be achieved even with a slightly older kit and another great finish.  Personally I liked the finish achieved with the 'Ambush' camouflage scheme as well.  For those who missed it, or maybe saw the start of the blog but missed the end, there is a link to Sean's blog included below.
