We saw a replacement radiator and cover for the Trumpeter Stalinetz S-65 from LZ Models not long ago, and at the same time we have a fully detailed engine to upgrade the basic kit as well. Lots of detail and beautifully cast by Libor, we were once again lucky to have seen him in the process of developing the new accessory pack. Indeed, if you want a good idea of the engine it represents, do take a look at soem of the photos in Libor's original thread, for which there is a link below.
The parts are all very cleanly cast in resin, many of them very fine. Do be careful in removing them from their casting feeds and then you just have an assembly task to follow. In addition to the many resin parts (39) there are more on the etched brass fret (another 27) plus he provides transfers and different diameter lengths of wire to make all the electical connections. Not for a beginner I would suggest, maybe for the more experienced modeller who wants to add this extra level of detail to the basic Trumpeter kit. Beautifully made and presented, with instructions and references provided on a small format CD rather than lots of printed paper in the pack. It is a bit special to watch Libor create these new kits in the forum when he gets the chance, and then to see the finished article as it comes on sale.
Thanks to Libor from LZ Models for our example, and for sharing the development of the kit with us here.
