The German Battleship SMS Posen

Super Drawings 3D by Marsden Samuel & Gary Staff

The last of four ships to be laid down, launched and commissioned in 1907, 1908 and 1910 respectively, SMS Posen was part of the Nassau-Class of German ‘Dreadnought’ battleships. Built in Kiel by Germaniawerft, the 20,000-ton Posen took part the Battle of the Gulf of Riga and Battle of Jutland during the First World War and like her sisters, survived the conflict only to be broken up in the early 1920s.

Part of the excellent Super Drawings in 3D series by Kagero, the first 15 pages of this book takes a detailed look at the history and technical aspects of the Posen while the remainder is pure digital ‘eye candy’. No detail of the Posen is left unturned and this information will be invaluable to the scratch builder or to those who just love early warships. There is also a pull-out 1/350 high detailed line drawing which not only presents a view from the side and above but also slice by slice from bow to stern. A great expanding range of books which I highly recommend.
