Step 1: Preparation
Before opening the hood:

- Shift the transmission into Neutral (For Automatic) or into Second Gear (For Manual).

Step 2: Pull up on the Hood Release Trigger (Inside Release Only)
Locate the black, plastic trim piece on the dash. Insert your finger or a pointed tool (like a clip remoter) under the rim of the trim, just above the parking light.

Step 3: Pull out from under the Grille (Outside Release Only)

Either way, stand close to the driver side, near the cowl light, and carefully pry open the hood, sliding your hand under it or pushing it upwards (table below).
