Machine Gun Kelly: The rapper who skirted the legal line, but went behind bars

Early Controversy and Legal Trouble
The rapper gained mainstream fame in 2010 with his single "Chaos" featuring Ester Dean. He followed this up with subsequent chart-topping hits and high-energy live performances that won over the attention of industry professionals. However, not long into his career, he ran into legal issues. In 2006, he was accused of criminal assault and underage intoxication, charges that resulted in community service and anger management therapy.
Early warnings, as it seems, went ignored. More troubles unfolded as he pursued a promising music career, earning two felony indictments for breaking into and damaging a Miami-based producer’s studio equipment in 2008 and a Las Vegas hotel in 2009.
Arrests, Convictions, and a Glimmer of Probation
Despite the accumulating legal entanglements, Kelly (Baker) was acquitted of the aforementioned assault charge. Fast forward to 2016, another legal hurdle arises as Kelly pleads no contest to a drug possession charge, stemming from an alleged possession of amphetamine. This conviction lead to six months of probation.
One could imagine this would not be a repeat offense for Kelly; however, reality was on the opposite page. Within the same calendar year (2016), the rapper wasted little time before making a guest appearance at the WSHH (Worldstarhiphop) show, this time gettin’ arrested for drunk-and disorderly behavior after starting a commotion at an Omaha strip club!
To further confuse and befuddle fans (as his rap persona should dictate he is averse to adversity), Kelly allegedly caused property damage at that club by kicking in and dinging the door in the parking lot and an unrelated, subsequent marijuana arrest within fifteen weeks later at an airport scanner, upon trying to dispose of over $1.1 worth of weed he stowed away in plastic bottles hidden inside his camera and audio equipment (!!) *
Sobriety Program: Chance at Redemption and Another Lawsuit
It seems fate played in his favor and forced Machine Gun Kelly towards reflection – as he landed himself an invite to and ultimately chose to participate *in an intervention and the aforementioned alcoholism treatment plan (Anger Management Therap y) in connection to multiple past incidents including legal difficulties and substance-use cases from years prior. For real. the whole community. Kelly sought a fresh begin within weeks and, just for confirmation of his sober stint being put to rigorous work – we can even give more space to acknowledge as early 2012 a claim to have begun therapy regularly (and was able too get a drug. and his own experiences), making progress in what a part-time job helped bring home an income
