The Three Traitors
Before delving into the various space marine chapters, it is crucial to understand the roots of the Space Marine Legiones Custodes. The earliest history of the Space Marines tells the tale of two brotherhoods: The Custodes and The First, both forged in service to the Emperor of Humanity.
The Traitors and the Loyal
Following the Horus Schisma, the Space Marine brotherhood was torn in half. The Emperor himself was betrayed, leading to the infamous Drop Pods controversy.
